Coronavirus /COVID-19 Statement
Due to the recommendations by the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and State of Illinois governmental agencies on health to limit all group activity to ten (10) or less, we are required to suspend all activities that have the potential to exceed this limit. This means several things to PGBC Disciples as we move forward.
All Church Services (to include Sunday Morning Worship, Wednesday Bible Study, Prayer meeting and Rehearsals) are hereby cancelled until further notice.
The church will be available to all Disciples during normal office hours for prayer and transaction of church business.Office hours are Monday-Wednesday and Friday 9:30 am-2:00 p.m.Due to the Coronavirus/Covid-19 conditions we have adjusted the hours slightly..
Church will also be open on Wednesday Evening from 5-7 p.m. and Sunday Morning from 10-12 noon for prayer and reflection limited to 8 people at a time.()The pastor and deacons will be available for prayer with anyone who desires.
How can I Help during this time?
Support our church financially. While this crisis is handicapping most of the world, locally, our church needs you. In order for our church to be there for us, we must support our church. You can make your regular tithes and offering using the online platform of Givelify on the App or on our website www.pgbchurch.org. If you prefer to deposit your envelope in person, all of the above times are perfect for doing so utilizing the Tithe collection box in the Sanctuary or Outside the church Administrative Office. We encourage you to be prayerful during this time as you contribute and be faithful for God is faithful.
What Do We Do about Worship?
Currently, we do not have the ability to “live stream” but are working to make that an option. We encourage you to continue reading the Bible Study Book “The Bait of Satan” and your devotional readings you do on a personal level. Past sermons are available on our website for your listening pleasure.
How Long will this Last?
At this point, we are anticipating this to be the normal course of business until March 31, however, as this is a fluid situation, please know that it could be longer. As soon as we receive the clearance from CDC and State agencies to resume normal activity, we will.
Easter Cantata Concerns
We have decided to postpone the Cantata until we have advanced beyond the Virus danger period.
In conclusion, we are praying God’s mercy on our church and our world. We have faith that God has the answer and will see us through this difficult period. Please know that we are still available for your calls and requests provided they meet the published guidelines for Personal Protection and Safety. Please look for updates on our Facebook Page and our Website as well as Text Messages in the meantime.
Stay safe and Prayerful,
Pastor Rosser and Deacon Ministry
